CLOVIS, Calif. –
Boise State track and field rising sophomore Miler Haller took 11th place in the 10,000m at the United States of America Track and Field (USATF) Junior Outdoor Championships, running a time of 31:55.03 at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif., on Friday night.

Haller was one of several collegians to run in the 10K. His finish will not advance him to the IAAF World Junior Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland.

This is Haller’s second appearance in a USATF junior national championship, as he also competed in the USATF Junior Cross Country Championships at Rivers Edge Golf Course in Bend, Ore., in February where he ran a 26:16 on the 8K course to take second place.

The finish earned him a spot on the U.S. team in the 2016 APA Pan American Cross Country Cup in Caraballeda, Venezuela. Haller went on to finish fifth (26:43.05) individually to help the U.S. team to the team title.

The Edmonds, Wash., native will now set his sights on the 5,000m, which will take place tomorrow night at 10:15 p.m. (MT).
