May 5, 2017

EUGENE, Ore. – Sadi Henderson won the 800m premiere race at the Oregon Twilight thanks to an outdoor career-best 2:04.10 on Friday night in Eugene, Ore., at Hayward Field. Henderson beat out several professional runners and secured a time that improves her hold on the school record and the fifth-fastest time in Mountain West history.

The redshirt sophomore was content to spend the first lap in the middle of the pack in fifth place, but Henderson responded accordingly when the lead pack separated and moved into third with roughly 300m to go.

Henderson smartly waited until the 60-meter mark to make her convincing move that sealed the victory for the native of Corvallis, Mont.

The entirety of the Boise State team will now set their focus on the Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championship set for May 10-13 in Logan, Utah on the campus of Utah State at Ralph Maughan Track Stadium.
