STANFORD, Calif.
-- Brenna Peloquin clocked a 33:03.48 in the 10,000m run at the Payton Jordan Invitational Sunday night in Stanford, Calif., giving her the second-fastest time in school history. The freshman's time is also the fourth fastest in Mountain West history.

In what was the first 10k of her Bronco career, the Gig Harbor, Wash., native ran with some of the best distance runners in the world and took 28th in the fastest section of the evening. The 33:03.48 is the fifth-fastest collegiate time in the country, virtually guaranteeing her a spot in the event at the NCAA West Regionals at the end of the month.

Bronco alum Emma Bates' school and conference record time of 32:13.28 was ran at the same race exactly a year ago.

Alexis Fuller also competed, running a 4:37.79 in section five of the 1,500m. Minttu Hukka raced in the 3,000m steeplechase, but was unable to finish.

The rest of the Boise State team will likely next be in action at the 2016 Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships, May 11-14 in Fresno, Calif.
