Meet Results

TORRANCE, Calif. –
The Broncos were dominant in the pole vault at the Mt. SAC Relays on Saturday afternoon as both Camden Stoddard and Allison Jeffries were able to pick up the victories in the men’s and women’s competitions, respectively. Stoddard’s height of 16-6.75 (5.05m) puts him in a tie for No. 3 in the school record book for outdoors.

Allison Jeffries’ win came after a lengthy jump off against Ole Miss’ Nicole Kallenberger. After both cleared 13-3.50 on their third attempts, neither were able to clear the next height in their proceeding three attempts. Jeffries was the last one standing after an extended back and forth jump off, notching the first victory of her outdoor season.

Stoddard’s first-place result also came against an Ole Miss athlete. The Bend, Ore., native was able to clear his winning height one vault before the second-place finisher to secure the victory.

The other headline story of the day was Allie Ostrander’s 1,500m debut. The redshirt freshman showed few signs of unfamiliarity with the race and managed to clock a 4:18.19 to make her the third-fastest 1,500m runner in school history.

The men’s 4x400m relay team of Cameron Wrout, Bryce Kirby, Fernando Martinez and Dusty Fisher captured the victory with a 3:11.46 – the third-fastest time in the conference this season.

Fisher (47.30) also managed to pick up a third-place finish in the 400m.

Drew Lindsley (164-0 / 49.98m) continued his streak of career-best throws with yet another PR in the discus to take 10th. Courtney Hutchinson (48-2 / 14.68m) was also able to log a top-10 finish with an eighth-place day.
