Day One Results

TEMPE, Ariz. - Only four Broncos competed on Friday at the Sun Angel Classic in Tempe, Ariz. Matt Post lead the way for the Broncos and placed third in the hammer throw with a 210-06 (64.17m).

Post's throw is the second-best mark of his career, falling a few feet short of his 214-0 (65.22m) when he won the All-Idaho Cup last season.

Hayli Bozarth led the way for the women's team and placed third in the hammer throw (192-06 / 58.68m). Karyna Armstrong recorded her first-ever hammer throw in a Bronco uniform and placed fourth (175-11 / 53.61m), and Kady Stafford threw her second-best throw of her career when she notched a 170-10 (52.07m), good for fifth place.

Post and Bozarth competed in the men's and women's premiere section, respectively, while Armstrong and Stafford competed in the women's open section.

The Broncos compete all day tomorrow, beginning when Roderick Townsend and Danny Verdieck throw the discus at 10 a.m. (PT).
