Stanford Invitational Results | San Francisco State Distance Carnival Results

STANFORD, Calif. –
David Elliott rewrote the school record book yet again Friday night at the Stanford Invitational when he ran a 13:42.17 in the 5,000m for the fastest time in school history. The time earned him fifth place in the fastest section of the evening, and the senior now has six school records to his name between indoor and outdoor track and field.

Andrew Rafla recorded a career-best 14:01.72 in the same race, good for 17th place

Brenna Peloquin became the second-fastest 5,000m runner in school history on the women’s side, running a 15:55.43 to take third place in section two. Bronco alum Marisa Howard finished just ahead of her, crossing the line in 15:54.06.

In the men’s 400m, Dusty Fisher took sixth in the fastest section of the day with a 48.41, and Alexandru Terpezan was second in section four with a 48.51. The 400m hurdles saw Fernando Martinez take second place overall with a nice time of 51.69.

Alexis Fuller took fourth in section four of the 1,500m after clocking a 4:25.45. Yusuke Uchikoshi (3:53.99) had a solid performance on the men’s side, and Tom Richardson (3:59.95) competed as well.

For the field events it was Jordan Ward and Camden Stoddard excelling in the high jump. Ward took eighth on the women’s side after clearing 5-3 (1.60m), and Stoddard (6-3.25 / 1.91m) was 12th.

Action will resume tomorrow morning at the Stanford Invitational at 10 a.m. (MT).

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.
– A slew of Broncos ran the 5,000m at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival, and it was Gracie Tostenson leading the way with a victory thanks to a career-best time of 16:27.76. Sarah Hastings also took part on the women’s side, running a 17:17.19 to take 30th overall in the field of 140 competitors.

Jeff Lautenslager performed the best for the men, clocking a career-best 14:21.18 to take eighth overall. Chandler Austin ran exceptional with a 14:31.25 to take 14th, Miler Haler was 24th thanks to a 14:33.94 and Ozo Rojas (14:37.91) was 34th.

Competition will ramp up again tomorrow morning starting at 11 a.m. (MT).
