Noneman Wins Hammer Throw

NNU Open Results Get Acrobat Reader

NAMPA, Idaho -- Kendra Noneman threw for a career-best 175-5.75 (53.48m) in the hammer throw to win the event title for the Broncos on day two at the NNU Open. The mark surpassed her previous personal best by almost 13 feet.

Drew Lindsley led the way for the men with a fourth-place finish in the hammer throw thanks to a 152-7.25 (46.51m). He also took third in the discus after going for a 150-7.25 (45.90m). Back on the women's side, Liz Gaffney also competed in the discus and logged a third-place result of her own, finishing with a mark of 115-3.75 (35.14m).

On the track it was Emma Culig and Israel Anaya Carmona competing in the women's and men's 800m, respectively. Culig (2:30.09) took sixth while Anaya-Carmona (1:57.91) claimed fourth.

The Broncos will continue the outdoor season next weekend when they split to the San Francisco State Distance Carnival and the Stanford Invitational from March 30-31.
