Distance Group Kicks Off Husky Classic

SEATTLE, Wash. – Brenna Peloquin took 14th in the 5,000m at the Husky Classic Friday night at the Dempsey Indoor in Seattle with a time of 16:13.61 to lead the Broncos on the first day of the two-day meet. Gracie Tostenson also excelled in the same event, recording a 16:39.15 for a huge 26-second personal-best time to take 32nd place.

On the men’s side of the 5,000m it was Rhys Park who excelled for the Blue and Orange, clocking a 14:18.94 – also a personal-best time – to finish in 26th. Aaron Back logged a 14:36.64 for 50th, and Riley Campbell ran the first 5k of his collegiate career and performed well, crossing the line in 14:44.92 for 61st.

Boise State will be back in action at the Husky Classic tomorrow at 2:20 p.m. when a trio of Broncos on the men’s side runs in the 3,000m. The Boise State Challenge at the Ford Idaho Center at Jacksons Indoor Track will start tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. with the men’s high jump.
