BOISE, Idaho--
The Boise State track and field team hosted the first day of the Jacksons/NB Boise Indoor Invitational on Friday. 13 athletes competed for the Broncos in the weight throw, pole vault, 200m and 3000m competitions.

Alexandru Terpezan and Megan Kelley each set personal bests in the 200m on Friday. Terpezan recorded a time of 21.51s for second place, while Kelley finished the women's race in 24.46s, also for second place.

Freshman Anne Brinegar was the lone Bronco champion on the day, notching a first-place finish in the women's 3000m (10:27.75).

Sophomore Karyna Armstrong competed for the first time since the indoor season opener. Armstrong recorded a throw of 60-02.50 (18.35m) in the weight throw for second place and the top collegian in the competition. Transfer student Britlie Silvester placed sixth overall, throwing a mark of 55-02.00 (16.81m).

Pole vaulter Allison Jeffries recorded a second-place finish. The sophomore cleared 12' 5.5" (3.80m).

In the men's weight throw, Juston Lindsley threw a mark of 47' 9.75" (14.57m) for fifth place.

The Broncos will host the final day of the Jacksons/NB Boise Indoor on Saturday. Collegiate competition will begin at 10:25 a.m. with the 60 meter dash (women), while the collegiate field events will start at 11:30 a.m. with the shot put (women).
