Broncos Dominate Mile at Ed Jacoby

Final Results

NAMPA, Idaho –
Clare O’Brien put on a dominant performance to win the women’s mile, and two Broncos were the top collegians in their respective to highlight the final day of the Ed Jacoby Invitational, Saturday at Jackson’s Indoor Track.

O’Brien took the lead midway through the race, and ran solo to win in a new personal best of 4:56.39. Jordan Jacob, Malia Pivec and Erin Mullins followed behind in third, fourth and fifth place, respectively, all in new personal bests.

In the men’s mile, Boise State alumni David Elliott won the event in 4:06.30, but Addison Dehaven finished second in 4:08.64 – a new personal best by 0.05 seconds. Ty Jordan followed behind in fourth in a new lifetime best of 4:10.34, while Andrew Rafla and Jeff Lautenslager just barely missed their personal bests while taking fifth and sixth.

Alexis Fuller set a new personal best of 2:53.68 – nearly eight seconds faster than her previous best – taking second to professional runner, Megan Rolland.

In the women’s triple jump, Taj Dorsett set a personal best for the second-straight meet. The junior took third with a leap of 39-7.25 (12.07m).

Alyssa Adams set a new personal bests in the women’s pole vault, as well – hitting 10-10 (3.30m).

Boise State will return to action next weekend, hosting the Bronco Invitational, Jan. 20 at Jackson’s Indoor Track.
