Broncos Set for Outdoor Season Opener

Albuquerque to Host MW Indoors

Boise State and the rest of the conference will converge upon Albuquerque, N.M. this weekend for the Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships from Feb. 23-25

2017-18: CROSS COUNTRY- Redshirt season . . . INDOOR- Ran the mile in 4:32.87 at the Ed Jacoby Invitational (Jan. 12-13) . . . Competed in the 3,000m at the Jacksons Nike Boise Indoor Invite, running 8:57.38 (Feb. 2-3)

2016-17: CROSS COUNTRY - Saw action in four different meets…25th at the Sagebrush Invitational (21:59.92)…also competed at the Roy Griak Invitational (26:44.8), taking 119th…was 62nd (26:39.1) in the “B” race at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational…just shy of a top-25 finish at the conference championships, taking 26th place after running a 24:57.8...INDOOR – Helped the DMR team take fifth to score four points at the conference championships in 10:14.24…also competed in the 3,000m and 5,000m that same weekend in Albuquerque…second in the 3,000m (8:29.19) at the Ed Jacoby Invitational…ran a 4:14.55 in the mile at the UW Invitational…trimmed that time down significantly the following weekend and posted a season-best 4:07.61 in the mile at the Husky Classic…OUTDOOR – Did not compete.

2015-16: CROSS COUNTRY - Saw his first career action as a Bronco at the Roy Griak Invitational, placing 155th in an 8k with a time of 27:41.3...INDOOR - Ran at a variety of races his first indoor season, but eventually settled in on the middle distances…took second with the DMR team at the Ed Jacoby Invite running a time of 10:30.73…also ran the mile at the same race, placing 20th with a 4:31.22…ran a 1:56.36 in the 800m at the UW Invitational…returned to Seattle two weeks later and logged his season-best mile time, recording a 4:07.52…16th at the Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 3,000m (8:38.43)...OUTDOOR – Specialized in mainly the 1,500-meter run…enjoyed a collegiate personal-best time in the 1,500m, recording a 3:53.30 at the Stanford Twilight…started the season at the Stanford Invitational and took part in the 1,500 meters (3:59.95)…12th at the Border Clash in the 800 meters thanks to a 1:58.07…concluded the season in the 1,500 meters at the conference championships (4:05.79).

PREP: Tom Richardson placed seventh in the 2014 English National Track and Field Championships after running personal bests of 1:52.81 in the 800m and 3:49.46 in the 1,500m during the 2014 season. In cross country, he placed 13th at the English Schools Championships and 16th in the Inter Counties Championships in 2013. He also recorded four consecutive top-five finishes in four consecutive championships 1,500m races in 2011 and 2012.
