BOISE, Idaho – Boise State University announced today (Dec. 17) a ticket promotion which could send 1,500 military personnel to the 2010 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 4 (Monday).

The promotion: “Operation Bronco Storm” would allow fans to sponsor military troops to attend the game between Boise State and TCU by purchasing tickets on their behalf.

Each individual sponsoring troops to the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl will receive two tickets to a women’s and men’s basketball double-header on Jan. 30 (Saturday), and recognition at the basketball games that night.  The women’s team will be hosting Utah State, while the men face Fresno State.

“We are asking the people of Idaho, and all supporters of Bronco football, to help us send military personnel from Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Arizona (the site of the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl) to the game,” Boise State Director of Athletics Gene Bleymaier stated.  “Our goal is to send 1,500 deserving troops to the game as a thank you for all they do in protecting our country.”

Tickets are $150.00 each and can be purchased on-line at idahotickets.com or by contacting the Bronco athletic ticket office at (208) 426-4737.  The athletic department will deliver the tickets directly to the military base.
