BOISE, Idaho -
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho and Boise State student-athletes came together for the 10th Annual Serving Up Wishes night on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at the Stueckle Sky Center at Bronco Stadium.

The event, which is a unique fundraiser-gala, helped raise over $265,000 to go toward the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho, a new record. Boise State had 80 student-athletes, representing each of the athletic department's teams, as volunteers at the event. The student-athletes helped to raise money by hosting gala guests and entertaining them with an array of talents.

Adding to the new fundraising record, Bronco student-athletes raised over $20,000 with Boise State's softball team raising the most in donations. Bronco volleyball and gymnastics followed as the top fundraising teams.

The event also included appearances from the CEO of Make-A-Wish and Amy Jacobson, the mother of local wish kid Sam Jacobson.

In the 10 years of the event, over 800 Boise State student-athletes have volunteered for the gala, helping to grant over 200 wishes for Idaho kids.

Although the Serving Up Wishes event was held Sept. 4, online donations will continue to be accepted through Sept. 18 on the Serving Up Wishes site.
