BOISE, Idaho -- Boise State Athletics is linking the past to the present with the launch of the Bronco Luncheon Series, beginning this Monday, Aug. 31. The luncheon series will provide a gathering place for Bronco Nation to stay connected with the athletics program and gain insight from a variety of featured speakers.

The idea of community has boosted the luncheon series concept with the goal of giving Bronco fans an exciting Monday kickoff to their week. The series will feature six lunches from September to November with featured speakers, special guests, Boise State head coaches, Bronco student-athletes plus highlight videos and giveaways.

Boise State University President Dr. Bob Kustra along with Bronco football alumni Korey Hall and Ian Johnson will be featured speakers at the first edition of the Bronco Luncheon series this Monday.

Assistant Athletic Director/Football Brad Larrondo and Director of Player Personnel Taylor Tharp will also speak at the event, providing updates on the football program as it prepares for Sept. 4's season opener against Washington.

Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. with the program set to begin at noon in the Jordan Ballroom at the Student Union Building on campus. A "season pass" to all six luncheons is available for purchase for $75 or individual luncheon tickets can be purchased for $15 each. The all-in-one pass and individual options are available for purchase through or by calling 208-426-4737. Walk-up guests are also welcome.

The luncheons are open to the public and complimentary parking will be available for attendees in the Lincoln Garage across the street from the Student Union Building. To utilize luncheon parking, guests can park in any Lincoln Garage space not designated by a sign and visit a pay kiosk and select "Bronco Luncheon." Kiosks are located on each floor of the garage and guests will receive a receipt after following step-by-step instructions on the screen.

Hall played at Boise State from 2003-06, thrice earning a spot on the All-WAC First Team and in 2006 being named WAC Defensive Player of the Year for his performance at linebacker. Hall played five seasons in the NFL (2007-10 with Green Bay, 2011 with New Orleans), earning a Super Bowl ring as a member of the Packers' Super Bowl XLV-winning team following the 2010 campaign.

Johnson was part of Boise State's 2007 Fiesta Bowl champion team, scoring the game-winning two-point conversion on a "Statue of Liberty" call in one of the most iconic plays in college football history. Over his four years as a Bronco (2005-08) Johnson was a two-time selection to the All-WAC First Team and helped Boise State to 44 wins during that span.

Additional Bronco Luncheons are scheduled to take place Sept. 21, Oct. 5, Oct. 19, Nov. 2 and Nov. 30.
