July 12, 2017

BOISE, Idaho – Brad Larrondo, a Boise State graduate and member of the athletic department staff since 1993, has been promoted to Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs, Director of Athletics Curt Apsey announced Wednesday.

Larrondo will provide oversight to marketing & promotions, the Bronco Athletic Association, the athletic ticket office and Bronco Sports Properties. He will also maintain his role as the administrator for football, working closely with head coach Bryan Harsin and his staff.

“Having spent more than two decades at Boise State in multiple external roles, I can’t think of anyone more deserving or more qualified to lead our external unit,” Apsey said. “Brad has developed valuable relationships throughout the Treasure Valley on behalf of Boise State Athletics, and his passion for the Broncos will help us accomplish great things.”

Larrondo first joined Bronco Athletics in 1993 as a member of the media relations staff, then moved on to the marketing department in 2001, where he served as the assistant athletic director for promotions and broadcast services. He would later be promoted to senior assistant athletic director for marketing, broadcast services and corporate sponsorships.

For the last six years Larrondo has served as Boise State’s associate athletic director for football, handling the external duties of the Broncos’ football program. This included serving as the director of high school and youth football camps, maintaining booster relations and organizing community service projects for student-athletes and coaches.

A 1993 graduate of Boise State with a degree in broadcast journalism, Larrondo also holds a master’s degree in athletic administration from Idaho State. He has spent time working in both radio and television during his career, serving as a color commentator for both Boise State football and men’s basketball.
