BRONCO ATHLETICS LAUNCHES THE BLUE MAGAZINE

BOISE, Idaho - All Bronco, cover to cover and close to 100 pages in between.  The Blue magazine is the newest member of the Boise State Athletic Department print publication lineup, debuting this August in time for Bronco football and the entire fall sports season. 

The Blue will be jointly produced by Boise State and Touch Fall Marketing, through an advertising and licensing agreement.  A minimum 100-page full color publication, the magazine will provide features, columns, award winning photography and insight into all 19 of the Bronco athletic teams. 

"The Touch Fall Marketing team is excited to be an active part of telling the tremendous stories surrounding Boise State, it's athletes, coaches and tradition," said Touch Fall Marketing President Ben Coronado, a Boise State graduate and former Bronco wrestler.  "The Blue is designed to provide Bronco Nation with a first class collectible magazine that speaks to the dynamic image of Boise State University and in particular its highly successful athletic program." 

The publication will be printed and distributed statewide and beyond three times annually - Fall (mid-August), Winter (early-December) and Spring (early-April).  A portion of all advertising, subscription and retail proceeds will go back to the Boise State Athletic program. 

"Being able to extend the reach of our athletic program through a piece like The Blue is a true win-win," said Boise State Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions, Brad Larrondo.  "It provides consistent and positive exposure for our teams, staff and student-athletes, while also providing Bronco fans with another way to follow and connect with all levels of our program." 

Described as a cross between a weekly publication focused on features and photography like Sports Illustrated and a graphically intensive monthly magazine similar to ESPN The Magazine, each edition of The Blue will include consistent and strong content.  Examples include a series of in-depth cover stories, collectible player posters and athlete snapshot segments, team training tips readers can apply to their exercise routine, fan interactive pieces, individual sport schedules, the Blue and Orange Legacy centering on those who shaped the foundation of Bronco sports and columns by veteran media members who cover Boise State athletics on a regular basis. 

The Blue will be available through subscription, on-line at BroncoSports.com and retail purchase at various locations including all Bronco Shop stores.
