Boise State Athlete of the Week Poll

Jan. 29, 2018 BOISE, Idaho - Boise State Athletics wants to get Bronco Nation involved in celebrating the performances of our student-athletes, so we are giving Bronco fans the chance to vote on the top Boise State performer each week!

Marta Hermida | Women's Basketball | Junior | Madrid, Spain
Junior guard Marta Hermida helped the Broncos to wins vs. San Jose State and Air Force last week. Wednesday at San Jose State, Junior guard Marta Hermida came up just two rebounds shy of her third triple-double of the season, scoring 16 points with eight rebounds and a Boise State single-game record 14 assists, eclipsing the previous mark of 13 held by Yaiza Rodriguez and Diana Lee. She also added 16 points vs. Air Force, helping to hold Air Force to 29-percent shooting and just 46 points in a 49-46 victory.

Shani Remme | Women's Gymnastics | Junior | Loomis, Calif.
Junior Shani Remme helped lead the Broncos to victory at Southern Utah 195.475 to 193.475 in the first road meet of the season. Junior Shani Remme finished with a 39.500 in the all-around to win the meet all-around crown. She also won the meet crown on bars (9.875), beam (9.900) and floor (9.925, career high). For her efforts, Remme was named MRGC Gymnast of the Week for the third-straight week, and also added Bars Specialist of the Week honors, Floor Specialist of the Week and Beam Specialist of the Week for her weekly awards haul.

Lexus Williams | Men's Basketball | Senior | Chicago, Illinois
Senior Lexis Williams has scored in double digits in five of his last six games -- the first time he has ever accomplished the feat in his career. He tied his career high of 16 twice in the last week, in wins over San Jose State (94-71) and at Air Force (70-64). The Broncos are 10-1 this season when he scores double-digit points and he is second on the team in scoring in conference play, averaging 10.5 points per game.

Abbey Sorensen | Women's Swimming | Junior | Draper, Utah
Abbey Sorensen, the reigning Mountain West Swimmer of the Week, led the Broncos to a dual meet victory at Northern Arizona, recording four victories overall on the day. She had individual wins in the 50-yard freestyle (22.89) and 200-yard backstroke (2:00.77), as well as helping the 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay teams to wins. Boise State cruised to a dominating 187-113 victory over Northern Arizona on Saturday in Flagstaff. In a battle between the defending Mountain West Conference champion Broncos and defending Western Athletic Conference champion Lumberjacks, Boise State claimed victories in 11 of 16 events on the day. as the blue and orange remained undefeated in dual meets this season at 4-0, stretching their win streak to 10 in duals.
