Three Bronco Teams Invade Moscow Saturday

BOISE, Idaho-Boise State athletics fans traveling to Moscow, Idaho, are in for a full day of sports Saturday, Jan. 22, when three Bronco teams invade the University of Idaho campus. The rivalry festivities start with women's swimming and diving and continue through the evening as the Boise State men's and women's basketball teams will take on the Vandals in doubleheader action.

The Bronco women's swimming and diving team travels north for two meets on the Palouse. The Broncos take on Washington State, Friday, Jan. 21 (5 p.m. PT) at Gibb Pool before joining the basketball teams at Idaho, Saturday. The rivalry swim meet begins at 11 a.m. (PT) at UI Swim Center. The divers will compete Saturday, beginning with the three-meter competition at 9:40 a.m. (PT), followed by the one-meter event during the second swimming break.

Boise State women's basketball (11-7, 2-2 WAC) will meet the Vandals (9-6, 2-1 WAC) at 4 p.m. (PT) at Cowan Spectrum. The Broncos are fresh off two conference home wins. Sophomore forward Lauren Lenhardt is the reigning WAC Player of the Week after tying the school record with 37 points against Hawai'i.

The Bronco men's basketball team (11-7, 4-2 WAC) wraps up the night, taking on the second-place Vandals (12-6, 5-1 WAC). The game is slated to tip-off at 7 p.m. (PT) at Cowan Spectrum. Boise State won last season's meeting in Moscow in thrilling fashion. Anthony Thomas nailed a 3-pointer as time expired, sending the game into overtime. The Broncos scored 13 of the first 14 points of overtime, winning 77-67.
