Academic Records Fall for Broncos

Jan. 8, 2016 BOISE, Idaho – Boise State student-athletes once again combined to establish department and team records during the past semester, Director of Athletics Curt Apsey announced Friday.

Boise State’s 425 student-athletes earned an all-department grade-point average of 3.17 during fall 2015, the highest single-semester GPA on record. The Broncos’ combined cumulative GPA of 3.19 is an all-department record, and marks the 17th-straight semester above 3.0.

“The primary goal for Boise State student-athletes is to graduate,” Apsey said. “I am proud of the accomplishments of our student-athletes this past semester, and I want to thank them, our tremendous academic staff and our coaches for emphasizing the importance of succeeding in the classroom.”

A department record 73 percent of Boise State student-athletes earned a semester or cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
